UPS Store - Refund for Un-used Box or transfer to another location
Leased two mail boxes from 5380 W. 34th St--290@***t 34th Street--Houston, Texas 77092.
18 days later I found out that my husband and I were getting a divorce and I was moving back to Dallas, Texas. I went into the store location and told the manager what was happening and ask if he could allow me a 70 years old women to cancel my mail boxes and move one to Dallas, Texas and the other further northwest to 1960 location. Neither box address had been given out and no mail or packages had arrived.
Response: Nope would not help walked away saying it was a franchise location and he did not have to abide by the rules of corporate stores. He had never refunded ever.
Personally I think this franchise location should be taken away and given to someone who will represent the UPS stores with better customer service.
I have been posting out on the web for people NOT to frequent this location as they don't deserve business.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $400.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
UPS Store Cons: Response of agent, Respone from owner, Owner.
Location: Houston, Texas

This loony tunes wants to ruin a small business owner, over some bleeping mail boxes! Get out of here with that BS!
I think people here giving โadviceโ need to chill out. Sheโs just voicing her disappointment and Iโm sorry she went through that.
No need to lash out. Yes she signed a contract and yes itโs binding but the store representative she spoke to should have been more professional in the way he spoke to her regardless of how rude or frustrated she seemed. Civility is a lost art these days as evident in the comments made here.
It takes self control and introspective to be respectful, assertive and empathic towards others. Think abt that before you decide to make a hurtful comment disguised as โthe truthโ or โreality.โ
Except you weren't there and have no idea how the employee spoke to her! Think about that before you decide to make chastising comments disguised as "the truth" or reality".
Many, many people have tried to misuse a mailbox address. This probably does not pertain to you, but this is why there is a no refund policy on boxes.
People are expecting a check, but don't want the sender to know their address.
People need to get a business license and need to show an address other than their residence.
They only need an address a very short time and want a refund when done.
This is why there is a no refund policy, and it is written in your agreement. Sorry, you seem to have a legitimate reason for wanting to cancel.
How is you being 70 years old and a woman at all relevant in this situation? These kind of things should have no impact at all in a business situation.
Don't try to abuse your age and gender to try to get special treatment.
Most stores have a no refunds policy on their mailboxes. It would have said so on your contract
100% true. Next time you sign a legal binding contract try reading it. All storeset are independent and not part of UPS.
No your wrong. You signed the paper work and you have to live with it. Under now way should he refund you a single penny.
So you lost a few hundred dollars- GET OVER IT.
Many UPS stores can barely stay afloat these days as Corporate is crushing them.
Wow you guys are really being nice and civil about all that. I agree with whoever said that civility is a list art.
The OTHER commenter sounds so hostile.
It doesn't seem worth it for us to get sooooooo uptight about it. NOT ANONYMOUS Emily Andros
