Store 2498 packed and shipped my framed Art on Dec 5 Arrived with broken glass - Art intact. Demanded I ship it back for inspection.

Store 2498 was compensated by UPS in December for the claim but did not share this with me and demanded I ship it back and get quotes for replacement. Store 2498 got the package but refused to open and remove the glass. Package traveled back and forth between the store, NJ, and IL for 2 months, finally arriving yesterday. Destroyed.

Art shredded. They offered to pay the insurance that I took out which does not cover the cost of the Art

Sue them. And next time, insure your valuables against loss or damage.

But to be honest, there's nothing that can be done to guarantee things like this won't happen... Life is hard.


Why did you not fully insure the piece before handing off to UPS ?

They are notorious destroyers of packages whom our company will not use for that very reason.

This, of course, ultimately, is your own fault.

Obviously inadequate packaging, sent by common carrier of the worst sort, and then, to top it off, underinsured - why ?? - to save a few bucks ?

Obviously this piece is not "priceless" as you stated.

This is 90 per cent your own fault.
