UPS Store - Liberty Lake, Wa. deceived us.

UPS Store complaint
The UPS store charged us $57 to ship a 24 lb. package via Priority USPS Mail, which had we sent it out via the Post Office ourselves, the cost would have been $19. According to UPS, when we asked about taking it ourselves to the Post Office, the UPS person said "No, they will just charge you the same anyway" We later found out that was untrue. They also wanted to chanrge us $136 to track and insure it, which we declined. So needless to say our package had no tracking whereas had we sent it via he Post Office, it would have. Customers BEWARE!

Interesting. Three defensive comments left. Smells like store owners/staff comments. Your average consumer wouldn't be so defensive and angry.

And one more thing...be sure to tell the whole story. I noticed your comment about the $136.00 UPS rate. Could that be because you wanted it there in two days?

I think that may be the case, since airplanes cost money to fly a parcel somewhere in 2 days I could justify the $136.00 rate that you were quoted. I also noted that you choose prioroty mail when parcel post would have been even more economical than priority mail.

By reading your post there was some sense of urgency in getting your package to it's destination in a certain amount of time. If time were not an issue I am sure you would have hired a pack mule if it were cheaper.

Before you blast a family owned business get your facts straight and tell the whole truth or you may make yourself look less credible than the business you are trying to shame on a public website.

Are you kidding me? Ever hear of a retail markup? When is the last time you were in a UPS Store and treated like total crap like when you go to the post office? If you like the smell of arm pits, the sound of screaming children and just a bad time take your happy *** to the post office and quit bashing a small business for having a profit margin. Next time you go to walmart which I am sure you do...how about you yell at the manager that you demand the price they paid China for your lead painted mountian bike and see where that gets you. Get a clue!

tracking is free at the UPS store. Insurance is whatever they need to charge in order to make a profit. Keep in mind that if anything goes wrong with the package during shipment, they will handle everything for you and handle all the headaches. The only people who work for free are called volunteers and if any want to work at one of these stores, I am sure the owner would welcome it. Service costs money, good service costs more than bad.

Are you kidding me pal. UPS Store owners are independent business owners. Would you like to pay McDonalds the "cost" for their hamburgers...of course you would, so would I. The fact is that UPS Store owners revenue source is the mark up on UPS Services. One of those services is the UPPS charge. time Before you criticize, educate yourself on the situation. Do you work for free? If the answer is yes then kudos...I'm wrong. If the answer is no then please keep your inaccurate opinions to your self
